Stewardship Development Committee
The committee will meet on Thursday, October 13th, from 11:30 AM to 1 PM at the church. With exciting things happening at PCFL, we look forward to a new approach to stewardship leading up to the pledge drive in November. Please join us Thursday if you can, and help with the planning.
Men’s Luncheon
We missed meeting in September, and we don’t meet in November, due to Thanksgiving. So, let’s try to get together this month. The date will be the 27th, and the place will be announced. Let Phil Harder (973-557-0765) know if you would like to be the host. Save the date on your calendars and watch for more information.
PCFL Book Group

Center for Food Action Donations
Please contribute nonperishable nutritious food. Paper goods and toiletry items are also appreciated, since you cannot use Food Stamps to purchase them. Donations can be placed in the shopping cart in the sanctuary. The Thanksgiving Food Collection will take place November 13. Volunteers are needed November 18,19, and 20 to sort and assemble food baskets in Mahwah. Minimum age is 14. Please advise Barbara Fernstrom if you are interested in assisting.
Faithworks Program
The theme of the lesson for October 16th is Willing Relationship – how to develop a relationship with God. The biblical text is Exodus 33:12-23. Christie Rizzo will discuss her childhood experiences moving to new places. The class will focus on ways that we can be closer to God. Joan Buzick will practice the “Cosmic Hymn of Praise” with the students. This will be performed during worship in November.
Talents and Treasures Auction
November 1-30 will be the time for our Talents and Treasures Auction. We have already received gift certificates from Wyckoff Florist, Country Curtains, Little Food Café, Village Grille, and Lisa Marie Salon. Offers for yoga lessons and autobiography classes have also been donated. Attached, please find flyer for the auction, letter inviting you to offer your goods or services, and list of suggested donations. Please consider how you might share your gifts for the mission and ministries of PCFL.
