Mall Kill offered prayers of gratitude for God's healing touch on her granddaughter & that no further medical tests are needed.

Thanks PCFL Volunteers
Many thanks to our volunteers who helped at the Overflow Homeless Shelter this past month. Barbara Fernstrom and Mike Holt gave their time to act as overnight hosts. Maria Gramuglia provided ample cold cuts, drinks and snacks for brown bag lunches. Mary and Ed Watts stopped by with a tasty assortment of doughnuts and pastries and plenty of juice for breakfast. The shelter guests appreciate all you do!

This Sunday…
Please welcome the Rev. Gretchen Janssen at 9:30AM (Summer Worship Hours) Rev. Janssen is an ordained PCUSA pastor currently working as Executive Director of Creative Living Counseling Center in Allendale.

Kiddy Sunday
The next Kiddy Sunday will be Sunday, July 6. The special activity will be the opportunity for anyone who brings a child 12 or under to worship may shop at Heavenly Treasures afterward. This is two days before the Preview Sale on July 7. Childcare will be provided during worship and special refreshments will be available after! All are welcome.

Heavenly Treasures Donations

We are accepting donations June 23 - July 23 9-3. Please refer to the flyer to see what items we will take. Don't have a flyer? Check our website, www.pcfl.org & print your own.

Green Alert

We will again be separating the recyclables as we sort for Heavenly Treasures. We need assistance in getting this to Recycling Centers. Chris Buckley has a listing of local towns and sites. See Ted, Chris or Barbara if you are able to remove the recycling from church and get it to the centers. All recycling will be separated in heavy duty plastic bags which are easy to transport.

Dabar:Peace
Galatians 5:22, Fruits of the Spirit 3
This seems to be a concept we can embrace without quibbles. And the
uses of the Greek eirene and the Hebrew shalom, which are frequent throughout the Bible, are fairly consistent. As long as we're talking about a personal kind of peace, there's little worry of becoming political. But what are the implications of peace for a community, whether civil or ecclesiastical? Will the fruits of the Spirit reach that far.

What to Look Forward To
Please join the PCFL community in welcoming the following Preachers each Sunday at 9:30AM Worship this summer!
July 6 Rev. Gretchen Janssen-9:30AM
July 13 Rev. Katharine Cunningham
July 20 Rev. Vern Dethmers
July 27 Rev. Esther Kim
August 3 Rev. Esther Kim
August 10 Rev. Esther Kim
August 17 Rev. Susan Friedl
August 24 Rev. Kent Smith
August 31 Rev. Esther Kim

Open Sesame
Our 20th Heavenly Treasures Sale officially opens Tuesday, July 8 and there's been a whirlwind of activity in preparation for this exciting event. More than 50 volunteers have been sorting, pricing and organizing an incredible number or donations. Since volunteers can purchase at any time, we've already received $1500 in proceeds. We are still wading through the "stuff", so come join us and help make the grand opening a very special occasion. This week we will be working 9-3 through Thursday as well as Tuesday and Thursday evenings 7-9. Monday, July 7 work session is from 9-3. Next Tuesday and Wednesday will be very busy days and we welcome all to assist us in welcoming so many neighbors to our church. It's a great opportunity to show ourselves as an open, caring community. Come experience the fun and fellowship.

Center For Food Action Basket
Even though you can’t see the basket in the Sanctuary right now, we are still in need of food and toiletries for CFA. See Chris in the office to drop off your donations. Thanks!

Pastoral Needs
While Esther Kim is away (7-1/ 7-12) Debra Givens & Michael Carrier will be on call for any PCFL pastoral care needs. Please let Chris Buckley know and she will make contact with either Rev. Carrier or Givens.
