Barry Shiff, Artist Reception May 20 2-4PM Nationally known artist, Barry Shiff is the featured artist for the month of May at the PCFL Gallery. Shiff, a Massachusetts native, was interested in art from early childhood. When he moved to New Jersey to take a job as a graphic designer he met his future wife, Mary, a fellow artist. They painted together and developed the idea of portraying early 20th century towns and train stations in New Jersey and New York. They delighted art lovers and viewers with the authenticity of the scenes of days gone by. Barry offers reasonably priced prints and original paintings in oil and watercolors of famous sailing ships, and train stations of New Jersey and New York. Subjects of nostalgia such as Palisade’s Park, Asbury Park Boardwalk, Ebbit’s Field, and Ocean Grove Tent Houses also became part of his repertoire of images that relate to the public. Please stop by the Gallery of the Presbyterian Church at Franklin Lakes and see the exhibit. Artist, Barry Shiff PCFL Gallery’s May artist will be hosting a reception on Sunday, May 20th from 2pm to 4pm. |
