March Music Mash-Up
Brian Jones owner of Good Vibrations Studio of Wayne and PCFL are bringing people and music together, the Mash-Up, Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 7-10pm. PCFL will be hosting a variety of music to benefit Wayne VOAD (Volunteer Organization Assisting Disaster). It is an organization that assisted over 500 displaced families after the flooding, freak storms, and power outages we had.
We are looking for young musicians who will wish to express their music for a good cause!
If you are interested in participating in this event please send a form of your music media i.e., youtube, myspace, facebook , video, or mp3 recording to Brian Jones, learn@goodvibrationsmusic.net. This will help set the program for the evening. Space is limited so get your place in this fun event now. A minimum donation of $10 at the door will be collected.
Children & Youth
HighMountain Presbyterian Church is involved in faith formation for children of all ages. We realize that people learn in different ways at different times in thier lives. SO we have specail programs geared to the learning styles of various ages of learners.
Faith Works is what we call our children education program. At the present itme we have between 10 and twenty children that attend services on Sunday Morning. They range in age from one year old to 12 years old. We encourage the chidlren to participate in the opening part of worship. The children are invited to come to the front of the Sanctuary for a time of conversation with the pastor following the first reading. The children are seated together on the floor in the front and the pastor engages them in some element of the mornings theme in worship. Then the chidlren are invited to go with volunteer adult leaders and they make thier way to the faithworks classroom where they will have a lesson or a project that helps then to grow int hier faith .
